About the Skiing
Glory’s big brother, Mount Taylor, looms over the Coal Creek Parking Area calling both backcountry skiers and ski mountaineers alike. The most “bang for your buck” in the Teton Range, the runs off Mt. Taylor start and end literally in the parking lot. Backcountry skiers looking for open bowls and gladed tree-skiing will be drawn to the mammoth East and South faces of the mountain, while ski mountaineers will enjoy hop-turning down the Oyster Bowl or Scotch on the Rocks. Whatever your poison, expect a big day and an even bigger smile.
Moderate to Challenging
December through April
Trips on Mount Taylor are run through Teton Backcountry Guides. Contact Elevated Guiding for current rates.
