Youngs Peak Traverse

About the Skiing

A monarch of ski mountaineering objectives at Roger’s Pass, Young’s Peak boasts two of the best ski runs in Glacier National Park. Seven Steps of Paradise is a long powder run off the top of the peak. This is a good option for beginner to intermediate backcountry skiers, or for an advanced skier looking to grab more vert on day one, after the approach to the hut. For the advanced backcountry skier, the Forever Young offers an unparalleled ski mountaineering experience: a long, cliff-line couloir in an astounding alpine setting. This tour is best done in two days based out of the Asulkan Hut.
